Based on the once secret formula of the 17th century Carmelite nuns, Carmelite Water is used as a digestive aid and tonic.  Also known as Eau de Mélisse, for the featured ingredient of this ages-old remedy is Melissa officinalis, AKA lemon balm, it may actually date back much further, with similar recipes having been found as far back as 1379.  

Used traditionally as a panacea tonic, used to treat a wide variety of ails and illnesses.  Today it is recommended as a digestive aid to be taken before meals or when experiencing upset stomach, bloating, nausea, etc.

Our recipe combines fresh garden grown lemon balm with angelica root, coriander seed, lemon peel and nutmeg.  It is extracted in brandy and lightly sweetened with local raw honey.

Dose: 3 droppersful before meal or as needed.

Ingredients: brandy, melissa officinalis (lemon balm,) angelica archangelica (angelica,) myristica fragrans (nutmeg,) citrus × limon (lemon,) coriandrum sativum (corriander,) and honey.
