Ingredients: nettle, oatstraw, dandelion leaf, lavender, cinnamon, ginger, cardamom

Packaging: two packaging options available, glass honey jar and kraft paper pouch; both contain about one ounce of loose leaf blend

------

NETTLE // Urtica dioica // Nettle has long been used as a food source by our ancestors. Nettles are a nutritive tonic, safe to take everyday, and a wonderful anti-oxidant full of minerals and vitamins. They are also high in iron. They are one of our earliest spring friends popping up outside. Due to their antihistamine action, they are very helpful in relieving seasonal allergies.

OATSTRAW // Avena sativa // A deeply nourishing nerve tonic, anti-depressant, nutritive and demulcent. Oatstraw is incredibly gentle and restorative, building support over time, which makes it an excellent addition to a tea. Oatstraw is high in iron, calcium, magnesium and other vitamins. It is wonderful for those that feel depeleted, burnt out and tired.

DANDELION // Taraxacum officinale // Another common spring time friend, the Dandelion reminds me of the sun. It is a wonderful digestive aid, alterative, liver detoxifier, and makes a great bitter. Dandelion greens make a terrific addition to your everyday diet in the spring time.

LAVENDER // Lavandula angustifolia // Lavender is antibacterial, antidepressant, anti-fungal, anti-inflammatory, aromatic, sedative, among other things. Lavender is frequently used in aromatherapy due to it's relaxing scent, and the fragrance alone has been known to reduce nervousness, anxiety and restlessness.

CINNAMON // Cinnamomum spp. // Cinnamon has been used for thousands of years with it first mentioned back in Egyptian times. It is warming, stimulating and has traditionally been used for poor circulation issues, rheumatism, colds & flu, as well as other complaints. It is analgesic, anodyne, antibacterial, antibiotic, antifungal, antioxidant, antiviral, astringent, cardiac stimulant, carminative, circulatory stimulant, decongestant, diaphoretic, digestive, vasodilator and more.

GINGER // Zingiber officinale // Ginger is a zesty and warming spice that has been used for thousands of years to add flavor to foods. Ginger is an analgesic, anti-inflammatory, anti-bacterial, anti-fungal, antioxidant, cardiotonic and more. Ginger is incredible for nausea, and has been found to be more effective than over-the-counter medications for curing such sickness, as well as for morning sickness and queasiness.

CARDAMOM // Elettaria cardamomum // The “Queen of Spices”. Cardamom is aromatic, pungent, warming and drying. It stimulates digestion and brings relief to indigestion and nausea, acts as an antioxidant and helps to regulate blood pressure.
